An Email from the Past.

Hi everyone,

Today exciting things have been happening.

It all started early last year. I did a GOOGLE thing.

You know where you put your name in a search on Google.

Well, I started to use names from my past. Like my best childhood friend,
Vince Versaskas.

Vince and I hung out every day until we got married. You know that tune "those wedding bells
are breaking up that old gang of ours". Well, they did.

Everyday we played fast pitching baseball against a brick wall of the Old National
Grocery store at Newcastle and Belmont aves.

We would use chaulk to draw a box but being kids thought Paint would be better.

If you go past the bldg now you still see the strike zone box still there, faded but still
there. See even as kids we left our mark.

But time goes by and we haven't talked for 30 years, losing contact with each other.
------
So during the Google search, I found some Lithuanian page and left a message for anyone
that might know him. That was early 2004.

Last night I received an email from Mike Versaskas, who acted susicious. As he should have.

We exchanged a few emails and this afternoon VINNIE called. It brings a tear to my eye as I write this.

He had 3 kids, 5 grandchildren, his bride then and now Kathy and has just moved, (about 5 years ago) to Dell Webb city in Huntley, about 5 years ago.

Karolyn and I talked with Vince for 20 minutes and agreed to get together the end of Jan.

Sometimes Life is Good...
